Our Town Government
The Gates Town Board is the executive body that governs the town. Town Council members serve four-year terms and the Town Supervisor serves a two-year term.
The Town Board meets on the first Monday of each month at 8:00 p.m. (in the Board Room at the Gates Town Hall). Volunteer boards are appointed by the Town board to deal with various statutory functions.
The current boards include the Board of Assessment Review, Conservation Board, Historical Society, Library Board, Planning Board, Recreation and Parks Commission, and the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Ralph J. Esposito
Town Supervisor
Ralph J. Esposito has been Supervisor of the Town of Gates since 1989. Under his leadership, the Town of Gates continues to undergo a major renaissance. He directs an efficient administration, which has produced record real property tax decreases in the past. His administration is maintaining a high quality of life in challenging times. Thanks to his vision there continue to be new economic development opportunities for Gates. He and his wife Nancy have lived in Gates for 37 years. They have three children and six grandchildren.
He has compiled an impressive record of public service at various levels of government.

Frank X. Allkofer
Councilman
Frank X. Allkofer is a third generation resident of the Town of Gates and resides at 2758 Lyell Road. Frank is a graduate of Gates Chili High School, Monroe Community College and SUNY Brockport and he served in the United States Army in Vietnam.
His experience and background include:
- Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Gates from 1970–2000
- Monroe County Parks Director from 2000–2007

Elaine P. Tette
Councilwoman
Elaine P. Tette has been Gates Councilwoman since 1997 and she serves as Deputy Supervisor. She has an extensive background in county government and is extremely knowledgeable in government administration. She is dedicated to providing excellent services to Gates residents in a cost efficient manner. She and her husband, Michael, have lived in Gates for 32 years.

Peter Pupatelli
Gates Town Justice
Peter Pupatelli has been the Gates Town Justice since 2001. He has been a Gates resident for 25 years and is extensively involved in the community. He is a graduate of Aquinas Institute, the University of Rochester and the University of Tennessee Law School.

Steve Tucciarello
Monroe County Legislator
Steve Tucciarello represents the fourth legislative district of Monroe County which includes the Town of Gates and portions of the Town of Chili. Steve was elected to a full four-year term in the November 2005 elections. Legislator Tucciarello currently serves as Chairman of the Transportation Committee and is also a member of the Environment and Public Works Committee.
Beyond his duties as a Monroe County Legislator, Steve serves his community in a variety of other ways. He is currently a Director of the Westside YMCA, a Director of the Gates-Chili Chamber of Commerce, and is a legislative representative on the Monroe County Airport Authority. Legislator Tucciarello is also a member of Gates Amita and the F.O. Eagles. In the past, Steve has served as Chairman of the Gates Zoning Board and as a member of the Gates Conservation Board. He was also the Gates Town Civil Officer and on the Board of the Gates Republican Club, where he has served as a four-term President.
Legislator Tucciarello is a successful business owner as well. He is President and General Manager of Colony Dry Cleaners in Gates.
Steve and his wife Lynette have two children and reside in the Town of Gates.
